A site can score 95% and still have a serious problem. That is why critical controls — hygiene risks that must never fail — are reported separately from the overall percentage.

Separating critical failures from the score means clients see both the headline number and the exceptions that need immediate attention. It also prevents a single missed control from being hidden behind an otherwise good average.
